 Getting to the Royal Mile Residence from the Airport:
The Airport is located 8 miles from the Royal Mile Residence and you can reach these Edinburgh apartments in two different ways:
1. Take a taxi from the airport to 65 Cockburn Street to the Check in. This journey will take approximately 20 to 25 minutes depending on traffic.
2. Take the Airport Express bus to the Royal Mile Residence. This leaves the airport approximately every 10 minutes during peak times. Remain on the bus until it terminates on Waverley Bridge in the Centre of Edinburgh. Take a left turn when you get off the bus and head across the road and up Cockburn Street. The check in for the Royal Mile Residence apartments is next to the Southern Cross cafe.
Getting to the Royal Mile Residence by Road (from the South):
Follow the A702 into Edinburgh, and turn right onto A720 toward Dalkeith. Then turn left off A720 onto A701. This then runs into the A7. Continue following this road all the way into Edinburgh town until you reach the High Street (or the Royal Mile). Turn left into High Street, then follow into Cockburn Street. The check in is at 65 Cockburn Street beside the Southern Cross café.
Getting to the Royal Mile Residence by Road (from the West):
Follow the M8 and signs to Edinburgh city centre. Head along Princes St., and turn left at the traffic lights into Charlotte St. Next, take a turn into Queen St., and follow Queens St. until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, turn right, so that you are heading back towards the city. Remain in the left lane, and turn right at the set of lights at the top of the hill. Then take a quick left onto the North Bridges. Remain in the right lane, then turn right at the first set of traffic lights into the High Street (or the Royal Mile). Next take the first right into Cockburn Street. The check in is at 65 Cockburn Street next to the Southern Cross café.
